Groundbreaking Set For Heidelberg Bread Co. Expansion At Frankfort's Pumpkin Patch

It’s known as the Pumpkin Patch to local residents; but, officially, it’s the Route 5-S South Industrial Park and it’s finally ready to get tenant number one.
The Heidelberg Bread Company of Herkimer is about to break ground on their project to build a new 42-thousand square foot bread making plant at the business park, which owners say will allow them to take care of increasing demand.
Heidelberg Bread owner Boyd Bissell says that plant will be ‘state of the art’ and construction on the new building will begin before the end of July. Bissell says the new plant will make the bread making process far more efficient and will first allow them to take care of their existing customers by more than doubling their production.
