WCMA Honors Legislative Leaders with New Award

As June Dairy Month begins, the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) is recognizing five federal and state legislators as Cheese Champions for their efforts to support and advance the dairy processing industry.

WCMA Introduces New, Outgoing Board Members

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) today announced the 21 members of its Board of Directors who begin new terms July 1. In elections held this past April, Steve Bechel of Eau Galle Cheese was again selected to serve as WCMA President.

DBIA Awards $1.7M to 38 Dairy Businesses

The Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), a partnership between the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research (CDR) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, today announced the 38 companies and cooperatives that have been selected to receive Dairy Business Builder grants totaling $1.7 million.

Championship Cheese Auction Tops $333,000 in Record-Breaking Year

Enthusiastic dairy processors, marketers, and suppliers raised an impressive $333,125 at the 2022 Chr. Hansen Championship Cheese Auction, held April 13 at CheeseExpo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The funds go to support the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association’s (WCMA) industry education and scholarship programs, as well as the World and U.S. Championship Cheese Contests and university dairy training centers.
