A Promising Future for Floral: AFE’s 2024 Internship Recipients

These programs place students in paid internships, and awardscholarships upon completion. The scholarships help provide students with additional financial security as they finish their academic studies and prepare to enter the floral industry after graduation.

2024 Paul Thomas Floriculture Production Intern of the Year

Megan Grace Ann Nelson of Junction City, Kansas, currently a senior studying horticulture and natural resources and environmental science at Kansas State University, has been named the 2024 Paul Thomas Floriculture Production Intern of the Year. Each year, students who have successfully completed the three- to six-month Vic & Margaret Ball internship are eligible for the award.

Joshua Craver Joins AFE’s Vic & Margaret Ball Committee

Joshua Craver, Ph.D. has been appointed as the newest member of AFE’s Vic & Margaret Ball Committee for the Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program. Joshua Craver is an assistant professor of Controlled Environment Horticulture at Colorado State University.
