Eastern Produce Council’s (EPC) TopGolf Event: Sponsored By South Carolina Department of Agriculture

South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, Hugh Weathers, kicked off the Department’s presentation by remembering former EPC Executive Director, John McAleavey, and his contributions to the EPC and the SCDA/EPC relationship that spans 5 decades. He expressed how impressed he was to see familiar faces in the crowd, as well as new ones, which he said is a sign of a thriving organization.

$3.4M in Matching South Carolina Department of Agriculture Grants Will Help SC Beef Processors Expand, Create Opportunities for Farmers

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture is awarding a total of $3,471,088 in matching grant funding to eight South Carolina companies to help them expand their beef processing capacity.

The Eastern Produce Council and South Carolina celebrated their 50th Anniversary together at TopGolf in Edison, NJ on Tuesday, April 26th.  This meeting marked the 50th consecutive year SCDA came up to New Jersey to sponsor a meeting for the council.  Marianne Santo, EPC President and Category Manager of Wakefern Food Corp., welcomed the group and thanked the Department for their decades of support.
