Seaboard Foods and the City of Guymon celebrated the grand opening of the city’s first pickleball courts with a Pork N’ Pickle opening party on July 13. Seaboard Foods paid for and converted tennis courts in Guymon’s Fowler Park to provide the community access to America’s fastest-growing sport.

Prairie Fresh®, produced by Seaboard Foods, donated 2,000 pounds of pork products to the City Rescue Mission and other local charities, in response to a Give-A-Ham challenge from the Oklahoma Pork Council. Homeland Stores also donated nearly 750 pounds of pork products in response to a Give-A-Ham challenge from Prairie Fresh.

After sending three truckloads of Prairie Fresh® pork to support Operation BBQ Relief’s (OBR) deployment in Port Charlotte, Fla., Prairie Fresh volunteers cleaned and organized the OBR warehouse in Peculiar, Mo., this past week. Fifteen employees from Seaboard Foods, a producer of Prairie Fresh pork, organized the warehouse and four storage containers filled with equipment and supplies to restock for future OBR deployments.

Seaboard Foods Donates to Rural High School STEM and Ag Programs with CoBank Matched Funds

With the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to grow twice as quickly as other industries, Seaboard Foods contributed $38,300 to several rural high schools where it operates to fund industrial arts programs and equipment. Several of the donations were made in partnership with CoBank’s Sharing Success Program which funds community and educational efforts in rural America.
