Rose Society of South Australia’s Rose of the Month, Bordure Nacree

Bordure Nacree was bred by Delbard in France in 1973. As the name suggests, it is a border rose and one of Delbard’s “Bordure” series which also has Bordure Blanche, Bordure Camaieu, Bordure Magenta and Bordure Viva.

Rose Society of South Australia’s Rose of the Month, Rebell

‘Rebell’ was bred by W. Kordes & Sons, in Germany, in 1996 and was introduced in 2006. Rebell was also released in Australia as ‘Australian Centenary of Federation’ to celebrate the Federation of Australia when the six colonies formed the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901.

‘Merry Maker’ was bred by Kordes of Germany and introduced in Australia in 2008. Named in Australia for the ‘Merry Makers Australia’ dance group for people with disabilities.

Jacaranda is a medium mauve-pink Hybrid Tea with a strong fragrance. Blooms have an average diameter of 12cm and around 35 petals.
