IFPA’s Foundation for Fresh Produce to launch Innovative Packaging Lab with $5M USDA Grant

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Foundation for Fresh Produce (The Foundation) and partner Clemson University will each receive $5 million to establish a Sustainable Packaging Innovation Lab. The Foundation will also partner with the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) and the University of Florida to implement the program.

Patrick Vizzone is a Board and Executive Committee Member of the International Fresh Produce Association, previously serving as the organisation’s Treasurer and Chair of the Global Development Committee. He is a Senior Advisor to AgFunder, one of the world’s leading agri-food tech venture capital firms. Patrick is also an Executive Director of Dimuto, a Singapore-based agri-fintech company focused on fresh produce. 

IFPA Merchant Innovation Awards: Recognize Retail Leaders Driving Consumption

 International Fresh Produce Association seeks nominations for its Retail Merchant Innovation Awards, a program recognizing and celebrating retail leaders who demonstrate passion and purpose through innovative strategies to drive produce consumption.  Nominations are open to retail vice presidents, directors or sales managers of produce, or equivalent titles. 

IFPA Honors Best of Industry’s Front Line with Retail Produce Manager Awards

For their commitment to fresh produce, innovative merchandising, community service, and customer satisfaction, 20 produce managers have been recognized by the 2024 Retail Produce Managers Award Program from the International Fresh Produce Association.
