The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) announced today the launch of its brand-new IFMA Foodservice Education Center, an online learning platform complete with on-demand courses and training opportunities for IFMA members to enrich their knowledge and understanding of doing business in the foodservice industry.

Antoinette “Toni” Watkins Receives IFMA Gold Plate Award, Foodservice Industry’s Top Honor

Antoinette “Toni” Watkins, MS, RDN, System Director of Food & Nutrition Services at Riverside Health System, was named the 2021 Gold Plate Award recipient by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) during the 67th Annual Gold & Silver Plate Awards Celebration. Watkins, representing the Health Care category, was nominated by Basic American Foods and was selected from an impressive slate of this year’s Silver Plate winners.

IFMA Publishes 2022 Foodservice Industry Forecasts, Projecting 4.9% Growth in Next Calendar Year

The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) published its 2022 foodservice industry and segment growth projections on its IFMA Scope™ platform.  Due to recent volatility in the marketplace, the projections utilize calendar year 2019 as a benchmark and are based upon several key assumptions, including COVID-19 vaccine availability, domestic and international travel, and government regulations and mandates.

Lawrence Oberkfell, International Foodservice Manufacturers Association President & CEO, Returning to Industry at the Close of 2021

After 12 years successfully leading the largest foodservice manufacturers association, the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) and the IFMA Education Foundation, President & CEO Larry Oberkfell announced today that he will be stepping down when his contract ends at the close of 2021. Until then, he will continue to lead the Association and Foundation, and assist the Board leadership in the search for a new CEO.
