Fill A Glass With Hope Raises $201,000 to Provide Milk to Families in Need

Dairy farmer and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program chair Jeff Raney of Adamsville, Pa., helped kick off the 2023 Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. Spearheaded by Feeding Pennsylvania and local food banks, the campaign raised $201,000 in donations to feed Pennsylvania’s food-insecure families. To-date, the campaign has provided more than 34 million servings of fresh milk to nourish those in need.

Brett Reinford of Reinford Farms, Mifflintown, Pa., represented all dairy farmers on Hunger Action Day, September 23, as Weis Markets announced $125,000 in donations was collected to support Fill a Glass with Hope® during National Dairy Month in June.

Dairy farmers are partnering with four major retail chains during National Dairy Month to encourage consumers to donate to Fill a Glass with Hope® to help get milk to families who need and want it. American Dairy Association North East implemented the campaign with Price Chopper, Safeway, ShopRite and Weis Markets – in 476 stores across the region.
