The U.S. Department of Commerce has temporarily removed the anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese frozen shrimp.
Truong Dinh Hoe, general secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), said the preliminary duty of 4.58 percent has been scrapped on Wednesday for 32 local exporters following the 13th administrative review by the department of the anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese shrimps.
The preliminary duty is set to become the foundation for the U.S. to abolish the duty in its upcoming final decision, Hoe told VnExpress. It will allow Vietnamese companies to expand further in the U.S. market, he added.
