WASHINGTON, DC —Today the seafood community mourns the loss of one of our true champions. Lee Conrad, wife of the late Ken Conrad, passed away on Tuesday surrounded by family.
As Ken worked to grow Libby Hill from a successful restaurant chain to a thriving seafood distribution business, Lee was always by his side. She was a leader in her own right who taught an ever-evolving industry by example.
Whether it was to elected officials in Washington or business partners across the globe, Lee had the uncanny ability to communicate in a gentle, direct and honest way. In a fitting tribute, her poise and dignity is something politicians, policymakers and industry leaders could emulate.
Lee and Ken have a long and fruitful legacy to reflect on but no facet of it more important than their large and successful family.
Lee Conrad will be greatly missed.
