South Atlantic Vermilion Snapper Trip Limit Decrease Announced

The daily trip limit for the commercial harvest of vermillion snapper in the South Atlantic will be reduced effective Sept. 10.
NOAA Fisheries has determined that 75 percent of the July to December quota of 438,260 pounds whole weight will be been landed by Sept. 10, according to a Southeast Fishery bulletin.
Effective 12:01 a.m. local time on that date, the daily trip limit will be reduced from 1,000 pounds gutted weight to 500 pounds gutted weight.
