ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – In a move to create the most authentic beer-battered experience the frozen food aisle has ever seen, SeaPak and Budweiser have joined forces to launch a new line of seafood products.
As part of their collaboration, the pair have come together to make a unique, one-of-a-kind recipe for a better batch of beer batter, designed with seafood and lager enthusiasts in-mind. Now, thanks to the imagination of SeaPak Executive Chefs and Budweiser Brewmasters, Americans can enjoy a premier, pub-style, beer-battered experience from the comfort of their own homes.
The first three easy-to-prepare items from the line: SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Shrimp, SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Cod and SeaPak Budweiser Beer Battered Crab Poppers have begun to appear on local grocery store and mass merchant shelves around the country. Already, the results of the partnership between the nation’s No. 1 shrimp brand and America’s most iconic beer brand have proven to deliver unmatched taste, quality and overall enjoyment among shoppers.
“We, along with Budweiser, take great pride in our commitment to creating memorable experiences for food and beverage lovers alike,” said Kristen Beadon, Director of Marketing at SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. “The famous Budweiser lager beer taste is a natural fit with SeaPak’s tradition of high-quality, great-tasting seafood,” she added.
Sourced for Sustainability
SeaPak and Budweiser have a mutual commitment to sustainability, Beadon pointed out, adding that the new beer-battered product line meets a variety of strict guidelines for responsible sourcing.
The oven-crunchy Beer Battered Shrimp are Best Aquaculture Practices certified. BAP is the world’s leading independent aquaculture certification program.
The Beer Battered Cod is made with wild-caught cod fillet. The product comes from a fishery that has been independently certified to Marine Stewardship Council standards for a well-managed and sustainable wild fishery.
The Beer Battered Crab Poppers are made using wild-caught blue swimming crab, cheese, and jalapeño peppers. They are certified for sustainability by the National Fisheries Institute’s Crab Council, whose standards require companies to comprehensively address environmental and social responsibility, animal welfare, food safety, and traceability throughout their operations.
“Seafood sustainability is a never-ending mission at SeaPak,” Beadon said. “Our goal is to deliver the highest-quality, most-sustainable products available, conserve natural resources, and drive positive change in the industry. That’s how you ensure delicious seafood can be enjoyed by generations to come.”
Likewise, Anheuser-Busch, the maker of Budweiser Beer, is equally as dedicated to sustainability. Through its “2025 Sustainability Goals” initiative, Anheuser-Busch is connecting thousands of farmers to technologies and skills. The initiative aims to ensure water access and quality in high-stress communities by partnering with suppliers to increase recycling content, and adding renewable electricity capacity to regional grids.
“Taste the Difference”

About Budweiser
Budweiser, an American-style lager, was introduced in 1876 when company founder Adolphus Busch set out to create the United States’ first truly national beer brand – brewed to be universally popular and transcend regional tastes. Each batch of Budweiser stays true to the same recipe used by five generations of Busch family brewmasters. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavorful, crisp and pure beer with blended layers of premium American and European hop aromas, brewed for the perfect balance of flavor and refreshment. Budweiser is made using time-honored methods, including “kraeusening” for natural carbonation and Beechwood aging, which results in unparalleled balance and character.
