The oil spill disaster wreaking environmental havoc in the Gulf of Mexico is likely to have a devastating impact on that area's fishing industry.
But a survey of seafood merchants in Western New York suggests it won't change menus or recipes here — at least in the short term.
Robert Jaus, owner of Hayes Fish Co., said he's anticipating a rise in demand and decreased supply of wild shrimp so he's pre-ordering a stock that will last him through the fall.
