A New York indoor fish farm has abruptly closed its doors.
The Greenport, NY, based Hudson Valley Fisheries has been producing steelhead trout at an indoor fish farm at Hudson, NY, since 2018.
On the company’s website, the firm issued this statement:
“Thank you for your support of Hudson Valley Fisheries. It is with great regret that we announce we will be ceasing operations.
“Since 2018, we have been proud to serve customers throughout New York City, the Hudson Valley, and across the United States with premium, sustainably raised steelhead trout in both fresh and smoked formats and more recently in single-ingredient freeze dried Happy Trout Pet Treats format.
“On behalf of everyone at Hudson Valley Fisheries, thank you for your business and for supporting sustainable aquaculture. It has been our privilege to serve you, and we sincerely appreciate you.”
