Now the Gorton's Crew is kicking off a coast-to-coast interactive road tour visiting six cities from Peabody, Massachusetts, to Seattle, Washington, to introduce the products via free samples. The Smart & Crunchy Tour is Gorton's first-ever national tour for a new product line.
Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks and Fillets are never fried, so they have 50 percent less fat than Gorton's regular breaded fish sticks and fillets and 200 calories or less per serving. They are also perfectly seasoned with a crunchy panko crumb. With a smarter nutritional profile and a great taste everyone will love, Smart & Crunchy will appeal to both parents and their children. And the road tour will have the same appeal for kids and adults alike.
A branded Smart & Crunchy food truck and highly interactive booth will be at each tour stop, along with a dipping bar where visitors can sit to sample the new fish stick and provide first-bite feedback on touch screen kiosks.
The tour will also mark the debut of Gorton's "Smarty Crunchman" – an eight-foot tall fish stick who will host the tour. Visitors can pose for photos with Smarty, and receive product coupons and fun giveaways from Gorton's brand ambassadors at every tour stop, including Smarty Crunchman plush toys.
The Gorton's Smart & Crunchy Tour will run from late February to mid-April with stops at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, Massachusetts; St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf, Maryland; Lenox Square in Atlanta, the Houston Children's Festival in Texas, Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles, and Northgate Mall in Seattle.
