BOSTON, MA – The 7th Annual Boston Seafood Festival today announced its schedule for day-long culinary demonstrations. Held on Sunday, August 5th, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., on Boston’s historic Fish Pier, the festival’s culinary demonstrations begin at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are currently on sale at bostonseafoodfestival.org. General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged six through 12, and free for children aged five and under.
This year’s festival features demonstrations from chefs from some of the Boston area’s best restaurants including Lolita Cocina and Tequila Bar and The Daily Catch, as well as a demonstration from two registered dietitians. All are welcome to learn new techniques, gain inspiration, and sample the chefs’ creations that highlight Boston’s freshest and finest seafood.
Other event highlights include the Battle of the Shuckers oyster shucking competition, an all-day lobster bake, and live music through the day. The Festival celebrates seafood and summertime while educating the public about the fishing industry and the people and practices that help one of the nation’s busiest seaports to continue to thrive.
A portion of all proceeds support the Boston Fisheries Foundation, a non-profit organization created to preserve, sustain, and share the region’s seafood and maritime heritage. The Boston Seafood Festival is managed and produced by Conventures, Boston’s leading events management and communications agency.
