Sea Watch International is proud to announce that the 4th Annual Creative Clam Challenge will once again bring the 2 finalists to the 2011 International Boston Seafood Show for a head to head competition to decide the champion. The final challenge will take place Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Sea Watch booth, number 423 from 11:00 am until 1:00pm.
The competition was open to all culinary college students across the country. Entrants for the 2011 Creative Clam Challenge represent more than a dozen highly acclaimed institutions across the country. The 2011 Creative Clam Challenge Champion will receive $2,500.00 and the First Runner Up will receive $1,000.00. The two finalists will be chosen by members of the Sea Watch R & D and Marketing staff. The two finalists will be brought to the site of the International Boston Seafood Show Saturday the 19th where they will do their shopping and chopping in preparation for the challenge on Sunday. The finalists will have the first hour of the show Sunday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am to fine-tune their presentations. At 11:00 am they will present their creations to the attendees of the show. Voting and judging will take place at the Sea Watch International booth # 423 where each attendee (judge) will receive a chip, which will act as their vote. The chip will be placed in the corresponding collection vessel, the votes will be counted and the winner announced immediately on the show floor following the competition, which ends at 1:00 pm.
