LANSING, MI – Whole Foods will open an East Lansing store in 2015, but is seeking local suppliers from all over Michigan to supply possible future stores.
“We are expanding in the state so we’re already looking for suppliers to supply things for the East Lansing location but possibly future stores too,” said Whole Foods Public Relations Specialist Allison Phelps.
Grand Rapids has been rumored as a future Whole Foods site for years. Phelps said it’s not in the company’s immediate two year plan. “It’s not on the books right now but that doesn’t rule it out.”
