Wegmans Needs Approvals Before Construction Can Start

TOWN OF HARRISON – Wegmans cleared a major hurdle in August when it received final planning approval to build its newest location, but a series of approvals are pending before the company can put a shovel in the ground.

The grocery chain with a cult following still needs engineering, demolition and building permits before it can start construction on its 125,000 square-foot store at 106-110 Corporate Park Drive.

Wegmans hopes to apply for a building permit — the final municipal approval step — by February 2018, according to an October 2017 memo from the company to the town.
