Wal-Mart is expanding its online grocery ordering service with three Baltimore-area stores, starting Wednesday.

The free service enables customers to order their groceries on Wal-Mart's website, and pick them up at their store of choice. Customers will be able to park in designated spaces outside the stores, then call a number that alerts an associate to bring the grocery order out to the customer's car. There is a $30 minimum for online orders.

The big-box retailer will roll out the pickup service at stores in Severn, Aberdeen and Cockeysville on Oct. 26.

Orders placed online by 1 a.m. will be available for pickup by 8 a.m., and orders placed by 10 a.m. will be available starting at 4 p.m. the same day. Pickups can be scheduled seven days a week, up to three weeks in advance.
