DAVIS, Calif.- Passionate about lamb and only 20 miles away from the state capital, Superior Farms is sponsoring the Sacramento Farm To Fork festival. In addition to having lamb on the menu for the Tower Bridge Dinner, seven restaurants are featuring lamb on their menus for the company’s #LoveLamb contest.
“These chefs have amazing dishes, we want people to experience them,” said Angela Gentry, Marketing Director for Superior Farms. As an incentive, if people go to www.superiorfarms.com and vote for their favorite dish, they are entered to win a $200 Visa Gift Card. “Living here, working with these restaurants and knowing that these chefs are dedicated to supporting American lamb is fantastic. It makes our employee owners very proud. We’ll all be going out to try the different dishes.”
Superior Farms is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year and in conjunction have redesigned their corporate logo. They’ve also begun construction on a new plant in Dixon, replacing the current facility that was built in the 20s. Superior Farms has partnered with the California Sheep Commission and the American Lamb Board on several projects, including this Farm to Fork sponsorship to increase the demand for lamb.
“We believe in American lamb,” said Gentry, “and we know we can make a big difference for the local ranchers that produce the best lamb in the world. It all starts with people having a great lamb dining experience.”
Participating restaurants include Mulvaney’s, Ella, Fat City Bar and Grill, Hock Farm, Capital Dime, Scott’s Seafood and Devere’s. The #LoveLamb contest runs through September 28th. To vote, visit www.superiorfarms.com/celebrate-farm-to-fork-with-lamb/
