Stew Leonard's Newington Store To Offer Six New Children's Cooking Classes

Stew Leonard's Newington store is offering six new cooking classes for children between the ages of five and 12 years old this January and February. The children receive hands-on instruction in preparing various products as well as learn about the importance of measuring, cooperation skills in the kitchen and the importance of food safety.

Price is per child per class, which is payable at the time of registration. Classes will be held in Stew Leonard’s Executive Kitchen on the second floor of the grocery store in Newington. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult.

Come spend Martin Luther King Day in the kitchen as we bake and decorate some pretty fantastic cupcakes from scratch. We have Crazy Clowns, Rain Clouds and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cupcakes on the agenda. Lunch will be served as well.

Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

You are! We will be preparing a full meal, from appetizer to dessert! Children will also learn about setting the table and even clean-up. Our meal will begin with stuffed mushrooms, followed by rustic roasted chicken and vegetables, and to finish off our meal, cinnamon and sugar ruggalagh.
