New York, N.Y. — Organic ice cream from Petaluma, Calif., chimichurri sauce from Suwannee, Ga., and crepes from Brooklyn produced by members of the Specialty Food Association will be sampled at NRA Show 2014 in Chicago May 17 – 19.

Fourteen members of the Association, a not-for-profit trade association for food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs, are presenting new and innovative products for restaurants and foodservice venues at Booth 8075 in the American Food Fair section. The exhibitors feature products that represent the craft, care and joy of specialty food.

Specialty food sales in the U.S. reached a record $88 billion in 2013, with sales to foodservice representing a 20.5 percent share, or $18.1 billion, according to the latest research from the Specialty Food Association.

"Our members are embracing foodservice as an important and growing market. They are bringing the same craft and care to the foods they create for sale at retail to the larger sizes they are making for restaurants, hotels, college campuses and other important venues," says Association President Ann Daw.
