Multibillion-dollar food distribution company Shamrock Foods has purchased Albuquerque-based Dee's FoodService, Shamrock announced Monday. The terms of the deal were not released.
Phoenix, Arizona-based Shamrock, which made nearly $3 billion in revenues last year and employs more than 3,600 people according to Forbes, is a major food provider in the western United States. Forbes ranked the company as the world's 166th largest private company last year.
In a press release, Shamrock said the deal will expand its reach in New Mexico and West Texas, areas where Dee's already operates.
