Schnucks Will Close Mulford Road, Rockton Avenue Stores

ROCKFORD – Schnuck Markets, Inc. will close its stores on Mulford Road and Rockton Avenue in Rockford, according to a news release sent by the company.
The stores will close at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 8. All 172 employees will be offered positions at the same rate of pay at neighboring Schnucks stores.
The company says low sales and the costly operation of the two older facilities factored in to the closures.
