Schnuck Markets Inc. has been reshuffling the product offerings at its Culinaria store in downtown St. Louis to make room for added lines of specialty and organic foods.
Schnucks spokeswoman Lori Willis said Schnucks brand products pulled were largely from the dairy section, along with some center-store products, such as potato chips. Willis calls the changes a "work in progress" and said the company can bring back any specific product at customers' request. "Nothing is going away," she said. "We would be happy to bring back any product."
The point of the changes is to make room for new products, including yogurt brands from Australia and Switzerland, Belgian chocolate milk and the Delallo line of Italian foods. The store also added more organic, natural and gluten free foods. "We wanted to a provide a unique and exciting new product selection at Culinaria that would excite the downtown consumer," Willis said.
