Rich Products Corp. has announced an $11 million expansion for its food manufacturing facility in Waycross, Ga.
The expansion will increase the plant’s size by 40 percent and create at least 55 new jobs. That would be a 78 percent increase from the plant's current 70 employees, and create jobs in production, management, warehousing and transportation.
Rich Products manufactures dough-based appetizers and snacks — such as mozzarella bites and mini, stuffed pizza slices — for the company’s foodservice division and its Farm Rich consumer brand.
The expansion is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2013 and will give the plant increased capabilities in doughs, fillings and packaging.
