In the wake of data breaches everywhere from Jimmy John’s to other grocers, Publix Super Markets Inc. is readying itself – just in case.
Publix issued a request for information for public relations services on how to prepare for a data breach on Sept. 29, the same day grocers Albertson’s and SuperValu announced another data breach in their stores.
Proposals are due Oct. 15.
“It simply is just a proactive approach,” spokesman Dwaine Stevens said Tuesday. “There’s nothing looming, not any issues out there.”
