Plastic Bag Ban Takes Effect At Tacoma Grocery Stores

TACOMA, Wash. – Tacoma shoppers may have to pay between 5 to 10 cents for paper bags when buy at grocery stores.
KOMO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2t7yyHT ) Tacoma’s plastic bag ban at local grocery stores took effect Wednesday. Under the ordinance, grocers must charge at least 5 cents for each paper bags. The hope is that customers will either pay for more environment-friendly options or bring in their own reusable bags.
