A restaurateur-turned-dough-specialist, whose wholesale clients include Crave and Famous Dave's, paid $1.95 million for a new commercial bakery site.

Finance & Commerce reports on the expansion plans for Alive & Kickin' Pizza Crust, which currently makes about 8 million dough balls per year for restaurant customers from a site in Burnsville. Its parent company, Port City Bakery Inc. of Green Bay, Wis., bought a 30,356-square-foot building at 5832 Industrial Lane in Prior Lake for a larger baking facility.

The building had been controlled by Mark Kreissler of Savage, who built it in 2007 and had operated laser-tag and other activities there under the name Triple Play Sports.
