After dropping a plan to launch a new urban farm and distribution center on a former steel mill site in Lawrenceville last summer, Paragon Foods is finalizing terms to move its longtime operation to a new distribution center in Cranberry Township.
Elaine Bellin, president of the family-owned Paragon, said she has a signed agreement with the Regional Industrial Development Corporation to buy a 13.1-acre parcel in the Thorn Hill Industrial Park. At the same time, Paragon is hashing out an agreement with Cincinatti-based Al Neyer to build an 88,000-square-foot distribution center for the food wholesaler expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
She said the total project cost will be $12 million.
