CASTROVILLE, Calif. – Ocean Mist Farms will host an artichoke field tour as part of PMA’s Fresh Produce Academy at the annual foodservice conference in Monterey, Calif.
The field tour on Friday, July 29, includes a visit to a beach-side artichoke field, company headquarters and a cooling facility and a cooking demonstration by Chef Tony Baker of Montrio Bistro, Monterey, Calif.
Chef Baker will also be featured in a “Top Chef” demo networking breakfast, on July 29 where he will demonstrate the preparation of Smoked Artichoke-Spinach and Goat Cheese Crepes with Scrambled Eggs and Mustard Cream and be entered into the competition for the “Best Tasting Menu Item” contest in the breakfast category. The winner will be chosen by the conference attendees. All recipes will be included in the Chef Demo Networking Breakfast Recipes Booklet.
