Niemann Foods Buying County Market Stores In Danville, Tilton

DANVILLE — Niemann Foods will acquire six County Market groceries owned by Covington Foods, including two in Danville, one in Tilton and three in Covington, Attica and Crawfordsville Indiana, the two chains announced Tuesday.
The sale is expected to close on or before Jan. 7, 2016.
Gerry Kettler, director of consumer affairs for Quincy-based Niemann Foods, said the six stores will continue operating under the County Market name and no changes are planned.
"They're working pretty well the way they are," he said. "I think we're just going to welcome them into the Niemann Foods family and continue to operate them."
