NHL All-Star Weekend To Feature Fan Favorites On The Ice & On The Menu From Aramark

OTTAWA, Ontario — When hockey fans arrive at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place for the 2012 Tim Hortons NHL® All-Star Game and 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition™, one thing is for sure, there will be something on the menu to satisfy their cravings.

The culinary team at ARAMARK, the exclusive food and beverage service partner at Scotiabank Place, home of the Ottawa Senators, has created an "all-star" menu for Senators' faithful and visiting guests.

Chefs from CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Verizon Center in Washington, DC and Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, will join Scotiabank Place Executive Chef Keith Jones to prepare signature sandwiches from their hometown arenas.

  • Capital Beef Hoagie (Scotiabank Place) – Roasted top sirloin topped with St. Albert's cheese curds and crispy fried onions on a crusty roll
  • Kielbasa Grinder (CONSOL Energy Center) – Thin sliced kielbasa topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing served on an Italian roll
  • The District Brisket Slab Stacker (Verizon Center) – Brown sugar rubbed beef brisket, slow roasted and topped with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and smokey bbq sauce, served on a Kaiser roll
  • Porchetta Sandwich (Wells Fargo Center) – Garlic salt rubbed pork belly around center cut pork loin with wilted greens, sharp provolone cheese on a seeded roll

"On-the-ice, the All-Star Game will feature fans' favorite players, while off-the-ice, the game will showcase favorite menu items from around the league," said Executive Chef Jones. "I'm excited to have ARAMARK chefs from Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Pittsburgh in the kitchen, helping us create a menu filled with all-star sandwiches and Scotiabank Place's signature tastes and flavors."

Scotiabank Place Favorites

In addition to the signature sandwiches, the concessions menu will feature Scotiabank Place's most popular items including Poutine, a Canadian favorite made of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds and brown gravy, SBP Burger Shack burgers, Golden Palace Famous Eggrolls with homemade plum sauce, Chef Bento Sushi, Pizza Pizza, MVP Buffalo Wings, gourmet fries and more.

Scotiabank Place's restaurants, Frank Finnigan's and Bert's, have also created special menus for the NHL All-Star weekend festivities, including:

  • Braised lamb shank, root vegetables, garlic mash and Shiraz wine gravy
