As the Bay Area’s population continues to boom, new grocery stores are pouring in to serve them.

Three new Safeway stores are slated to open around the Bay Area this week. On Wednesday, Safeway stores will open in The Orchards shopping center in Walnut Creek, The Ridge center in Oakland and The Fairmont shopping center in Pacifica.

“We are excited to open three new stores to meet the needs of our customers and create new jobs in the Bay Area,”  said Tom Schwilke, president of Safeway Northern California, in a company statement. “These new stores will give customers new local, fresh and organic options.”
