Max & Erma’s Restaurants Inc. is poised to be sold to the co-owner of a Denver-based family restaurant chain.
The Columbus chain confirmed Tuesday that American Blue Ribbon Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Fidelity Newport Holdings LLC, will become the new owner with a confirmation from a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge Wednesday.
“We see Max & Erma’s as a wonderful complement to our current portfolio of restaurants,” American Blue Ribbon CEO Hazem Ouf said in a release. “It is our intention to keep Max & Erma’s based in Columbus.”
The company, which owns the Village Inn and Bakers Square dining chains, won an auction for the 87-restaurant chain Monday.
