Gonzales, California – Misionero Vegetables introduced “the perfect size lettuce leaf” – Lettuce Stackers™ at this year’s Foodservice Produce Marketing Association in July. This seed variety was selected for its user friendly leaf size and its crisp, crunchy texture.
“The uniform leaf size makes it ideal for deli and fast food operations”, comments Dan Canales, VP of Sales and Marketing. “The leaf span allows for a variety of menu applications such as sandwiches, burgers and wraps without having to trim the leaf.”
For this new item, Misionero focused on the customer and keyed into three selling points: Convenience, reduced labor cost, versatility. Another selling point for Misionero’s Lettuce Stackers is the ability to maintain its texture with hot and cold foods. Lettuce Stackers is the latest addition to Misionero washed and trimmed product line.
