Mark Retzloff Out As CEO Of Boulder’s Alfalfa’s Market

A management shake-up at Alfalfa's Market has led to the resignation of CEO and Chairman Mark Retzloff — a co-founder of both iterations of the Boulder-based natural grocery chain.
Officials for Alfalfa's announced Monday that Retzloff stepped down from his roles and that board member James Searcy would oversee the two-store grocer's operations on an interim basis.
Retzloff, who said he is the chain's largest shareholder, will remain on the board of directors, and said the move came "out of the blue" and likely resulted from disagreements with the other board members.
