SALINAS, Calif. – Oct. 15, 2010 – Mann Packing is realigning its foodservice sales team to better leverage the skill set of its employees and capitalize on the growing market opportunity in providing healthier food solutions to the foodservice channel.
As part of the realignment, Rick Russo has a new title and role as director of sales for commodity and foodservice. Previously Rick was director of sales and managed Mann’s inside sales group. In this new role, Rick will be responsible for calling on foodservice customers and building a sales team that focuses on growth with distributors and operators. Rick will also continue to manage commodity sales for Mann, as well as the inside sales group.
In addition to Rick’s new leadership role, the foodservice team will expand to include a region sales manager in the East to compliment Susan Noritake’s new role as region sales manager in the West. Both regional foodservice sales managers will report to Russo.
As part of the new sales strategy, Gina Nucci will take on a new role as director of healthy culinary innovation. Her previous title was director of foodservice marketing.
Gina will combine her nutritional sciences education and background and years of experience in the foodservice industry to lead Mann Packing as it focuses on developing healthy out-of -home fresh food solutions.
Gina will manage Mann’s foodservice product portfolio and drive foodservice product innovation. She continues to report to John Haydock, senior vice president of sales.
“As our business continues to develop there are several market dynamics that we feel strongly will influence all channels of our business,” said John Haydock, senior vice president of sales. “The realignment and expansion of our foodservice sales and marketing teams will better prepare us to address these dynamics while continuing to provide outstanding service to our foodservice customers.”
