Lowes Foods is reopening its recently remodeled Mooresville store Thursday with new features that promote locally sourced goods, including a new bakery, smokehouse and wine bar.
The store at 125 Center Square Drive, right off Williamson Road, will have a ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m. to showcase the new features, the Winston-Salem-based grocer said this week. It will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Mooresville store’s redesign is part of a companywide re-imaging campaign kicked off in 2014 to emphasize the grocer’s homegrown roots. The company faces stiff competition from other supermarkets in the area like Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Publix.
