NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation (LHF) is pleased to unveil plans for the Louisiana Seafood Festival, a celebration of Louisiana’s seafood heritage and most famous cuisine, our fresh and flavorful seafood. The three-day festival, made possible by title sponsor Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board will be hosted RAIN OR SHINE at Woldenberg Riverfront Park from Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14:
Friday, October 12: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 13: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 14: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Building on its past success and taking advantage of its expanded location, the festival will offer tastings from some of the best restaurants in the city. Attendees can enjoy live music from the Miller Lite stage, culinary demonstrations from noted chefs and seafood education sessions in special pavilions that are free for the whole family. Major elements include:
•An Incredible Musical Lineup including Cyril Neville, Dash Rip Rock, Eric Lindell, Flow Tribe and more.
•A Larger-Than-Life Jazz Brunch with mimosas, bloody marys and JAZZ!
•The Louisiana Seafood Pavilion featuring chef demonstrations and more.
•A Kid’s Pavilion with special activities from the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
•An Arts & Crafts Village showcasing gifts, décor and more.
•Food and Beverages from some of the best vendors in the state.
•Free Admission—bring your friends and family!
The festival is produced by the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve New Orleans communities by providing support for the education, health, and social welfare of children in the community. A part of proceeds from the festival benefit this important foundation.

Locals residents and tourists who are visiting the festival will have the opportunity to try a variety of Louisiana seafood dishes prepared by the area’s best chefs, and also get Louisiana seafood cooking techniques from chefs at the chef demonstration tent. “We are excited to be the title sponsor of the festival and partner with the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, the Audubon Nature Institute and other sponsors to bring the Louisiana Seafood Festival to new heights.” said Ewell Smith, Executive Director of Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board. “This year’s festival will bring together delicious Louisiana seafood prepared by the city’s best restaurants, great music and seafood educational programs to help enlighten visitors of the importance and value of buying and eating Louisiana seafood.”
The new location of the festival and educational programming is thanks to a new partnership with the Audubon Nature Institute, “We are excited about our partnership with the Louisiana Seafood Festival and are thrilled to present this unique festival celebrating the best seafood in the world,” says Ron Foreman, Audubon Nature Institute President & CEO. “We look forward to hosting some of the best chefs in the state at Woldenberg Riverfront Park.”
The official beer of the 3-day festival will be Miller Lite and the official hot sauce will be Tabasco.
