Legacy Foodservice Alliance honored Distributor and Supplier Members with annual awards for outstanding accomplishments during the 2014 Spring Marketplace, February 17-19, at The Omni ChampionsGate, Orlando, Florida. The Members were acknowledged for their commitment to The Group, and for going above and beyond in many categories. The same awards are bestowed upon both Distributor and Supplier Members.
Since inception in 2009, Legacy Foodservice Alliance has proven they are “doing things differently”. The awards have been uniquely created and named with focus on members leadership, support, and engagement to the organization.
Visionary Awards were presented to Maple Leaf Foods and House of Raeford Farms for their support of Legacy’s unique operating philosophies. These companies gave Legacy early advice, helped mold the company model, and provided testimonials to other members and Groups.
The Leadership Award is another honor given, and this year Legacy recognized Baily International of Atlanta, Inc. and Land O’Lakes. These Members have shown commitment to making things happen, to influencing their peers and competitors, are fully committed, with great enthusiasm, and continue to provide advice and counsel to the organization.
The Most Engaged Awards went to the Distributor and Supplier Members for the reasons the name implies. Cedar Farms, Inc. and G & C Foods are engaged in all aspect of the organization. These Members have attended all the meetings, have shown support through their own efforts to the other Members, and are among the first to jump on new ideas, and have worked diligently and aggressively to grow their program business.
Legacy puts great focus on line conversions and growth for in-program Supplier Members. The Distributor and Supplier Members that received the Charger award were recognized for overall programsupport in a variety of ways. This involves line conversions, leading the way on new promotions, aggressively recommending new members, and for accurate and timely reporting. With true collaboration between suppliers and distributors in mind, The Charger Award was presented to Instantwhip Foods,Inc. and Grassland Dairy Products.
Ray’s Enterprises, Inc. and McCain Foods USA received The Driver Award given for outstanding increases in program purchases and sales. Through three years of program accounting, these recipients have been committed to the group and have shown it throughoutstanding purchases and sales growth.
Outstanding Member Awards were presented for outstanding contributions to The Group, The Industry, and to their Community, or the Country. For things they do in everyday business to overcome adversity, build camaraderie, grow the business, or improve the relationship. The following Distributor and Supplier Members were acknowledged: Fancy Foods, Inc., Spectrum Foods, Inc., Colony Foods, Inc., Layman Distributing, Zakky Foods/Hauppauge Provisions Company,Schwan’s Food Service, Kings Command Foods, Inc., Cavendish Farms, Ken’s Foods and Stratas Foods, LLC.
