COLUMBUS – Kroger is investing $46 million in two new buildings in Blue Ash and plans to add 650 jobs, after the grocer received approval Monday for a state tax credit.
Blue Ash is giving Kroger a $700,000 grant for the project, while JobsOhio, the state's privatized economic development arm, recommended a 65 percent state tax credit through 2024. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority unanimously approved the state tax credit Monday. JobsOhio also plans to give Kroger a grant or loan, but said it won't disclose the amount until that arrangement is finalized.
Kroger's incentive deal was one of six in Southwest Ohio approved Monday at the tax credit authority's monthly meeting.
