Idaho Potato Recipes Now Available In Spanish

EAGLE, ID — The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has translated more than 40 of its most popular recipes into Spanish. Easily accessible at www.idahopotato.com, the collection includes a variety of recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and every meal occasion in between. All can be shared via social media links.
“With Spanish being the second most spoken language in the United States, we wanted to create a special section on the IPC website where folks could easily find recipes in their native tongue,” explained Frank Muir, President and CEO, IPC. “Regardless of the language, we know Idaho® potatoes are known around the globe as a premium, quality brand.”
A favorite recipe for kids of all ages is Muffins de Hojuelas de Papa de Idaho® con Chocolate. These tasty bites make a great grab-and-go breakfast or a lunch box treat, and can be popped into the microwave for a little extra warmth during the upcoming fall season.
Muffins de Hojuelas de Papa de Idaho® con Chocolate
12 porciones
Ingredientes:
1 1/3 tazas de harina
2/3 de taza de Papa Idaho Deshidratada
2/3 de taza de azúcar
2 cucharaditas de polvo para hornear
2 claras de huevo
2 cucharadas soperas de aceite vegetal
2 cucharaditas de extracto de vainilla
1/2 cucharadita de canela
1/2 taza de leche
1/2 de taza de chispas de chocolate semi amargo
Aceite en spray para cocinar
Una pizca de sal
Direcciones:
- Pre caliente el horno a 190 °C (375 °F). Rocíe los moldes para panquecitos con el aceite en spray.
- En un recipiente grande coloque la harina, las hojuelas de papa Idaho deshidratada, el azúcar, polvo para hornear, canela y la pizca de sal. Mezcle todo hasta que esté perfectamente integrado. Posteriormente integre la leche, las claras de huevo, el aceite y extracto de vainilla. Finalmente agregue las chispas de chocolate y mezcle.
- Con una cuchara coloque la mezcla en los moldes para panquecitos. Evite llenar el molde hasta el borde. Hornee de 14 a 17 minutos o hasta que observe un color doradito e inserte un palillo en el centro y salga limpio.
- Desprenda los panquecitos de las orillas con un cuchillo y colóquelos en una super?cie a temperatura ambiente para que se enfríen totalmente.
