As Houston's food scene grows and gains national recognition, demand has increased for fine foods of all different kinds.
A high-end meat distributor that services New York's finest restaurants has seen so much growth in demand in Texas, it has leased warehouse space in Houston to better serve the market.
Newark-based D'Artagnan Inc., which supplies fine foods such as foie gras, paté, truffles and Wagyu beef to restaurants and consumers around the country, has signed a five-year lease with an option to buy at 416 Bell Rd., off Interstate 45 near Texas
