A new infographic packages checkoff-funded market intelligence to show foodservice operators not only the strength of beef’s performance in foodservice, but the bottom-line benefits operators will experience by adding more beef to their menus. The insights provided in the infographic are unique to the checkoff; no other organization is sharing this actionable data on how beef can drive traffic, sales and loyalty for a restaurant. This easy-to-read and shareable graphic, Beef Drives Bigger Sales, Traffic, drew 342 views in its first month, and is being distributed by checkoff staff at upcoming industry events, in local outreach by state beef councils, and will be featured in trade media, including National Provisioner.

The Beef Checkoff Program was established as part of the 1985 Farm Bill. The checkoff assesses $1 per head on the sale of live domestic and imported cattle, in addition to a comparable assessment on imported beef and beef products. States retain up to 50 cents on the dollar and forward the other 50 cents per head to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board, which administers the national checkoff program, subject to USDA approval.
