Liberty Property Trust has broken ground on a 727,600-square-foot distribution center for Grocers Supply in north Houston.
The build-to-suit project, at 14803 Woodham Drive, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2019. Liberty has also sold Grocers Supply, a division of C&S Wholesale Grocers, 34 acres adjacent to the project.
Grocers Supply president Max Henderson said the new distribution center will consolidate several of its operations into one facility to more efficiently distribute food products throughout Houston. The company signed a long-term lease to operate in the facility but did not specify terms.
