Landover, Md. – To encourage customers who haven’t yet tried Giant’s Own Brands products, Giant Food is bringing back the popular Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free Challenge. During the weeks of September 28th and October 5th, customers who purchase selected national brand products, will receive Giant’s Own Brands equivalent products free. This is the fourth challenge Giant has offered customers this year!
“Our Buy Theirs, Get Ours Free Challenge offers shoppers the opportunity to try our diverse offerings at no cost,” said Dean Wilkinson, vice president of sales and merchandising, Giant Food. “We always strive to provide the highest quality products at the lowest cost. This popular promotion helps customers learn of the tremendous value.”
Among the products included in this promotion are chocolate chips, juice, hummus, frozen pizza, crackers, ready to bake cookies, bath tissue and congestion medicine. A complete list of eligible sale items can be found at all Giant locations and in the weekly circular. In-store signage will also highlight the challenge-related items. For customers who would like to try before they buy, all Giant stores will sample select products in-store on September 28th.
Giant Own Brands products are subject to a testing program which includes customer feedback to ensure that the grocer is consistently delivering on quality and value. Based on this testing, hundreds of Own Brands products have been reformulated in the past several years to enhance taste and quality, while still offering affordable prices. If a product doesn’t pass these testing requirements, it doesn’t go on a Giant shelf!
