CHICAGO — Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, a rapidly growing Midwest grocer focused on healthy and organic offerings at affordable prices, announced plans today for three grand openings in Chicagoland on October 14. The new locations will be as follows:
Bucktown/Lincoln Park
2500 N. Elston Ave.
Chicago, IL 60647
Crystal Lake
5340 Northwest Highway
Crystal Lake, IL 60014
Naperville
790 Royal Saint George Drive
Naperville, IL 60653
Each of the stores will host grand opening celebrations beginning at 7 a.m. where the first 250 shoppers will receive a free reusable grocery bag filled with fresh, healthy groceries. Lines at Fresh Thyme grand openings typically start forming several hours in advance, so shoppers are encouraged to arrive early to reserve a spot.
In conjunction with the grand opening celebrations and to raise money for charity, all seven Chicagoland stores will be selling limited edition pink reusable shopping bags. For each pink bag sold, Fresh Thyme will donate 65 cents to The Pink Agenda to support breast cancer research and television host Giuliana Rancic's FAB-U-WISH initiative. Shoppers will also be able to contribute to The Pink Agenda directly through Fresh Thyme's registers by adding $5 to their purchase.
"We're excited about all three of these grand openings, but most importantly, we're excited to work with our local community here in Chicago to help raise funds for a very important cause," Fresh Thyme CEO Chris Sherrell said. "There are currently over 2.8 million women in the U.S. who either have or have had breast cancer, and we want to encourage everyone to do their part to help end this debilitating disease. Following Chicago's recent plastic bag ban, this is a perfect opportunity to support The Pink Agenda through these special reusable shopping bags available during Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
